All about the Blue Basket

Why not keep it simple this Fathers Day with a basket focussed on his favourite cheese, Blue Cheese! We've picked three of our favourite blue cheeses and paired them with one of our favourite wines. Starting with a local, Harrogate Blue is equal parts creamy and flavourful. It's melts in mouth with just the hint of a punch. Hebridean Blue is then everything you would want from a Scottish Blue cheese, hard and full of character. Hebridean has wonderfully bold flavour without much saltiness. And then a bold finish is always needed, our traditional Roquefort has a truly creamy palate with a balanced saltiness. It has some great citrussy notes brought in from the Sheeps Milk. Domaine des Pourthie Merlot 2017 is a fresh, unoaked red wine from the southern Languedoc, near Agde. It is a fleshy, mouth-filling wine, which shows juicy plum fruit on a long, ripe finish.
