Bramley apples lead this old fashioned Yorkshire chutney, cooked slowly with onions, sultanas and traditional spices by Rosebud Preserves in Masham. It was made to sit next to Wensleydale. The sweet apple and vine fruit against the crumbly, fresh tang of the cheese is the same pairing Yorkshire has enjoyed with apple pie for generations, and it works just as well on a cheeseboard, in a ham sandwich or alongside a pork pie. Refrigerate after opening.
