Friday 20th November 2026 – The Infamous Port & Cheese Tasting at the Speakcheesey
<p>Our winter favourite is back: a line-up of ports, each paired with a hand-picked cheese, on a candlelit evening at the Speakcheesey on Gillygate.</p> <p>Friday 20th November, from 6.30pm. Over 18s.</p> <p>Port and cheese is a match made in winter, and this is the evening we look forward to most. We'll taste our way from lighter, fresher styles to rich, deep ones. Friday 30th October 2026 – Cocktail Night at the Speakcheesey
<p>A night out for two: four cocktails each and our Afternoon Cheese to share, at the Speakcheesey on Gillygate.</p> <p>Friday 30th October, 6.30pm till 9pm. One ticket covers two people. Over 18s.</p> <p>Our Speakcheesey is usually all cheeseboards and wine by the glass. For one night we're turning the lights down and turning it into a cocktail bar. Bring a friend, a date, your other half or your other other half (we don't judge), and settle in for the evening.</p> <p><strong>What's included (per ticket, for two people)</strong></p> <ul> <li>8 cocktails: 4 each</li> <li>One Afternoon Cheese to share, our signature sharing dish: 5 cheeses, cured meats, olives, cornichons, bread and Bungay butter, crackers and chutney</li> </ul>
Friday 4th December 2026 – Christmas Free Flow at the Speakcheesey
<p>All you can eat Christmas cheese at the Speakcheesey on Gillygate, with a range of wines to go with it, all included in your ticket. Help yourself, then come back for seconds.</p> <p>Friday 4th December, from 6.30pm. Over 18s.</p> <p>This is our Christmas party, and you're invited. We'll lay out a spread of our Christmas cheeses: big truckles of cheddar, creamy bries, a proper blue and a few you might not have tried yet.
