Our festival collaborations are always a highlight of the summer, and this year we’re thrilled to be part of the Merchant Adventurers’ Charity Beer Festival — a weekend dedicated to great beer, great people, and (of course) great cheese.

Taking place across four sessions over the Friday and Saturday, the festival brings together an outstanding line-up of breweries alongside a stunning historic setting. Throughout each session, we’ll be on hand serving up plenty of cheesy favourites, perfect for pairing with your pint as you explore everything the festival has to offer.

For those looking to take things a step further, we’ll also be hosting two exclusive Beer & Cheese tastings per session. These guided tastings are designed to showcase just how well beer and cheese can work together — expect carefully matched pairings that highlight flavour, texture and contrast in all the right ways. (Tasting slots are limited and available for an additional charge, payable on arrival.)

Whether you’re popping in for a casual drink, settling in for a full session, or joining one of our tastings, this is a brilliant way to experience the best of beer and cheese in a relaxed, festival atmosphere.

What are in-person events?

Our in-person tasting events are bespoke events designed with fun at the forefront! You’ll get to experience cheese tastings, pairings, food, drinks, and more from Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, Yo1 9XD.

Where are they?

The Beer Festival is at Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, Yo1 9XD. Cheese tastings can be purchased on arrival and are held in the upstairs meeting room.

When do they start?

Please check the specific event times for each session.

How long do they last?

The Beer Festival sessions are around 4 hours long. There are 2 Beer and Cheese tastings per session which last approximately 40 minutes each.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself and your email confirmation to show that you have purchased a ticket for the festival. Then use your beer tokens to book onto the Cheese tasting.

Our utmost concern is get you the right cheese in the right condition right to your door. All orders are posted on a next day service so as not to spend too much time in transit. Each package will come with a gel ice pack to keep the temperature in the box as low as possible.
