With a culinary philosophy deeply rooted in seasonal excellence, Chef Sanderson has honed his skills in esteemed establishments such as the Pheasant in Harome and most recently the Minster Refectory, showcasing a culinary journey marked by precision, innovation, and a profound understanding of flavours.

 

In this exclusive 5 course tasting menu, Chef Sanderson invites you to witness the culmination of his culinary expertise, as he artfully weaves together the freshest seasonal meats, vegetables, and let’s not forget (we are a cheese shop after all)… artisan cheeses. Each course is a testament to his dedication to perfection, as well as his commitment to showcasing the beauty of locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

 

Complementing some fantastic food, our 5-course tasting menu is elevated further with thoughtfully curated drink pairings that seamlessly enhance the dining experience. From crisp whites that dance with the fresh fish to robust reds that marry flawlessly with succulent meats. What is Dune by Sanderson?

Unlike our regular in-house tastings where cheese is the focus, at Dune you will get the full fine dining experience which also includes lots of cheese! You’ll get to experience 5 delightful dishes which include cheese, paired with drinks, all in the comfort of our Speakcheesey!

Where is it?

This event is being held at the Speakcheesey which is at the back of our shop on Gillygate! The address is 16 Gillygate, York, YO31 7EQ.

When does it start?

If you are thinking about joining us for one of our events, we ask that you arrive at the Speakcheesey at 6:50 pm – the event will start at 7.00 pm.

How long does it last?

The menu takes around 2-2.5 hours depending on how quickly you get through each course!

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself and your email confirmation to show that you have purchased a ticket!
