Tasting Notes: On the nose, you get a wonderful fresh citrusy note, think orange and grapefruit balanced by woody juniper and festive cinnamon. On the palate you’ll find Up-front juniper with more delicate aromas of elderflower bubbling through. This gin is deliciously smooth and round on the palate, with warm cassia notes soothed with dandelion. Pink grapefruit adds an underlying sweetness and lingering citrus finish.
Winemaking Notes: 40.5% ABV, from Sheffield, UK
How to Serve: Garnish is a personal choice and very subjective, but we like it on its own or with pink grapefruit peel for an extra citrus blast.
About the Winemaker: “A little over eight years ago, John Cherry started Locksley Distilling Co. Ltd from the humble beginnings of his parent’s attic. What began as one person in an attic has grown into a team of seven, operating from a grade 2* listed distillery.
In that short period of time, the world of gin has exploded; however, our Sir Robin of Locksley® Gin has always had points of differentiation, and the qualities that made us stand out from our inception continue to set us apart from an increasingly competitive crowd.”
