Berwick Edge is a robust, gouda style cheese made with raw milk and aged for 12 to 18 months which gives it its full and distinctive flavour. It has undertones of pineapple and spice, making it a more adventurous choice to your traditional gouda.
Succulent, creamy and nutty! Berwick Edge is a great cheese that is both salty and sweet. It’s natural rind adds to its distinctive flavours of pineapple and a subtle spice.
Berwick Edge goes deliciously with a full-bodied Bordeaux or Rioja – especially if they are both served at room temperature.
About the Maker
Berwick Edge is made by Doddington Cheese, a Northumbrian dairy farm who specialises in unique, hand-crafted cheese. Their cows graze in one of the least inhabited regions of the UK and their use of raw milk, as well as the microflora that is unique to their farms, contributes to the intense flavours that come through in their products.
